Polar Bear Party Time

So. Just what does a polar bear do in San Antonio, Texas, on New Years' Eve? She updates her Blog, of course!

I can't imagine much that happens over the next several days will be of much interest to me; however, She has promised to take me to a casino in Shreveport, so I'll let you know how I did there. I think my cowboy hat will come in handy there--it will help disguise me, and I'll blend in better with the other patrons.

Happy New Year!

Texas in December

I thought it was supposed to be chilly here. Instead, I'm running around shedding. Virginia was colder than this. A little front came in today to cool things off a bit, but it's still in the 50s. Even so, I've enjoyed this trip. Everyone likes my hat. I hope She brings me with her more often.

Ready!

Maybe someday I'll tell how I managed to get my new hat, but for now, let's just say I look simply stunning in it, and may She never find out how I obtained it. I told her mailorder, but let's just keep this as our little secret, OK?

We're all packed and ready to go. I should sleep real well while She's driving tomorrow--the Spurs don't play until 10:30 pm Eastern tonight, and I haven't been able to watch them for awhile. So, while She's resting up to drive for who-knows-how-many-hours tomorrow, I'll be cheering the Spurs on. See you in a couple weeks!

Thanks, EJ!

A western store. Just down from Colliseum Mall on Mercury? Thanks! Now. How do I get there? She does leave the motorcycle here during the day. She'd never notice I took it, I bet. Of course, I've never ridden one before, and I think She keeps the proof of insurance in Her wallet. With my clumsy paws, I have no hope of being able to pilfer that little piece of paper. The keys, however, I can easily get to. I know how to open the garage door, but then I don't have any way of locking the house or closing the door....this will require some thought. Perhaps there's a more creative way of getting from Grafton to Mercury Blvd....

Zero always thought my legs were pretty sexy. Maybe I could try that old hitchhiking technique I've heard about...Think anyone would stop for a polar bear showing a little leg?

Packing for Texas

What does a polar bear need in Texas in December? It is Texas, do I need a cowboy hat and boots? Where will I find boots to fit me? I think that idea is definitely out. But what about a hat? Maybe I should wait until I get there and buy one there. I haven't seen many cowboy hat stores in Virginia.

Guns. Doesn't everyone in Texas walk around with guns on their hips? But She doesn't wear guns. Maybe I've seen too many John Wayne movies.

Heat. Will I be too hot down there? She says it gets cold in December. I'll probably be quite comfortable.

She's Back!

I came "this close" to posting while She was gone, but I decided to be a good bear and respect Her wishes that I remain off-line when She's not here. We have a busy week this week. She's taking me to Texas with Her, and we have to pack. I can't wait!
