Mr. Clarett still fails to impress. He was a standout during his freshman year at Ohio State two years ago, but he's done little but "step on it" since. I'm sure he's had other things to distract him from maintaining health and fitness at pro competition levels since then. However, he continues to fail do the things he can do to help himself achieve his goal. He needs to get through this, but it's looking more and more like it's time for him to find some solid employment and eke out an existence like any other young adult.

Glad to hear you're having fun during your break from work! Basketball season only comes once a year. Don't let the new faces discourage you. You never know WHAT might happen.

Oh yeah! Also, could you tell you-know-who that her web page won't let me post comments right now? It says "Service Not Available". I'm just thankful YOU'RE still on line! :-)

And while you're at it, could you give her the following message . . . "Sorry to hear your hard drive is ill! Glad you were able to get the back-up done in time! I'm also glad to hear you're taking it slower than you might with exercising after surgery. I started too soon after the flu and am now paying for my impatience with a relapse. As to publishing something you're instinctively feeling warning bells about under a pseudonym . . . I personally would not do it, even on a dare, and had to scratch a short story I liked a lot just recently because I felt it would be misunderstood. Pseudonymns that start out as pseudonymns in a writer's early years often get attached to the writer's real name in later years, whether the writer intended that or not." (Thanks, Inuit!)

Hmm. Haloscan appears to be working. Still having problems?

Nope, no more problems with comments on Jean's main blog. I think it was just a temporary glitch! :)
