Sweep! And Congratulations to the Grizzlies

As expected, the Spurs won handily last night. But I would be remiss if I failed to acknowledge the truly phenomenal turn around in the Grizzlies organization this year. They began the year with few if any expectations for having a season like they had--first ever 50 wins. Thankfully, their coach was recognized for this terrific success with Coach of the Year honors.

Too bad the Rockets couldn't pull out that win over the Lakers yesterday. It will be really tough for them to win the series now. Of course, it depends upon which Lakers team shows up to play in LA on Wednesday. That's the thing about the Lakers. It's really hard to tell if they will show up to play or not. And for a team comprised of All-Stars or former All-Stars supposedly hungry for a championship, that's simply unacceptable. I'm rooting for the Rockets, but I suspect the Spurs will be playing the Lakers in the next round. Bring 'em on! Go Spurs Go.
